The Materials Chemistry laboratories are equipped with the following scientific instrumentations and facilities:


- XRPD X’TRA by Thermo Electron equipped with an Otto HDK heating chamber designed for experiments in high temperature in the range from RT to 1600°C (Air, Vacuum or other atmosphere) or to 1800°C (Vacuum).

- Single crystal XRD Xcalibur by Oxford Diffraction equipped with an Oxford Cryostream low temperature device.

- FTIR Equinox 55 by Bruker equipped with DRIFT cell.

- FT-RAMAN RFS-100 by Bruker
 
- Micro-Raman Labram HR by Jobin-Yvon equipped with different devices designed for temperature experiments in the range from -150°C to 600°C.

- UV-Vis-NIR Lambda 900 by Perkin-Elmer equipped with a diffuse reflectance for solid samples.

- TGA/DTA/DSC by Setaram

- 16 node cluster of dual ATHLON 2.6 MHz processors by Aethia equipped with different softwares for ab initio
molecular and periodic calculations (GAUSSIAN, JAGUAR, CRYSTAL, MACROMODEL, MATERIAL STUDIO)
