Brief CV

Enrico Sappa graduated at 23 years on july 1964 at the University of Torino. He started his career in this University as Research Assitant, then as  Associated Professor and, finally, as Full Professor.
He then moved to the University of  Piemonte Orientale (since now UPO) where occupies a Full Professor position.
His scientific interests include the study of the synthesis and reactivity of organometallic compounds in particular towards alkynic and other organic ligands with the aim at obtaining new complexes showing homogeneous catalytic activity (e.g. in hydrogenation and hydroformylation reactions). He is also interested to the coordination of organic ligands to metals as models of organic and organometallic surface reacitions. More recently he has shifted part of  his research interest to inorganic-organometallic sol-gel materials.
He has authored about 190 papers, mostly on qualified international scientific journals, not including collaborations to encyclopaedic publications and scientific popularisation.

Projects:

E.Sappa belongs to the groups of the UPO involved in the COFIN 2003 (and 2005?) programs. He also also collaborations with Novamont (Novara) and FN (Alessandria).
He has also been involved into the MICROCELL research group directed by prof.L.Marchese.
